In All Dishonesty

Deception is one form of truth
Only when you tamper with the proof
Dissention with a friend
Leads me to understand-
You are the most beautiful thing

I would have to lie
Just to make it through the night
Only if you’re by my side
Will it keep me alive

To believe that I could die
Without saying goodbye
And to tell you that I don’t love you
Would be the greatest lie

But for you, I would say anything-
In all dishonesty

It’s hard to believe in things so unreal
Like understanding the way that you feel
Placing trust in the unseen takes faith
I’m just living by seeing your face-
So far it seems to be working

If I had wings like a bird
I could fly high up in the sky
To see everything so clear
It’s kind of like when you’re near

To believe that I could die
Without saying goodbye
And to tell you that I don’t love you
Would be the greatest lie

But for you, I would say anything-
In all dishonesty
